Passed my DAS with Willem after doing my cbt a while ago with him. Training was well planned and accommodating. Willems experience and training methods were tailored to suit. Overall excellent experience, would highly recommend.

Excellent guy and trainer, teaches you beyond what is required for just passing which gives you confidence for the test and beyond. Excellent training bikes also. Shame it only gives five stars because I would it give six. Fantastic bloke to learn to ride from, very easy and fun to learn. He breaks everything down so its simple to understand and is patient when you just can't quite get it. Will definitely be coming back for the next step.

I have just taken my CBT with Willem and I have to say it was a really fun experience.
He has boosted my confidence out on the road and has certainly made me a much safer rider.
Willem is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of motorcycle training, and rightly so he takes it very seriously, but with some added humour to make it a really fun experience.
These are difficult times and Willem has clearly worked very hard to put in place all the necessary Social Distancing measures to make the day safe for both parties. I run a mid sized factory and understand Health and Safety extremely well. I can say that the measures Willem has put in place are well thought out and worked very well.
I would definitely recommend training with him and I will certainly be back to complete the rest of my motorcycle licence with him.
Willem is a first-class instructor; I cannot recommend him highly enough. His professionalism, patience, attention to detail and commitment are exemplary. He is truly passionate about what he does, and it clearly shows. He teaches you to ride well above and beyond what is needed to pass the test. Above all he is a thoroughly nice guy which makes learning all the more pleasurable.
Willem is extremely attentive, and has shown time and time again throughout our training that as well as wanting you to become the best rider you can be, he is also considerate of the welfare of his students and ensuring that a plan can be put together to ensure that you are able to train based on your needs and around your schedule.
When personal issues meant that I couldn't focus on my training, it was also easy to reschedule and rebook sessions.There was even a session when I was struggling to ride at my usual standard, so Willem advised we stop and rebook it for another day. He understood that there was no point in continuing if I couldn't focus and we couldn't have fun.
Willem being both an experienced rider and instructor, as well as a kind person, will do whatever he can do to help his students, which is a perfect combination of qualities for anyone who is wanting to learn to ride.
What can I say about this fella! An absolutely top tier teacher and what’s even better is that he’s a great character as well, there was never a dull moment and I’m sure his former students would say the same! He really cares about perfecting your skills so you can get through your test as fast as you can but also with the highest possible degree of excellence and training. At the end of the day when you get on a motorbike safety is vital and Willem really does ensure those factors are instilled into your brain, so even if you’ve never ridden a bike before don’t worry because he’ll help you with everything. Would highly recommend even if you’re a novice or have prior experience and want a few refresher courses! I’d give him 6*’s if that was possible!!
Absolutely fantastic experience ,was looking and phoning around different riding schools, but as soon as I spoke to Willem I knew he was the one.
Not just a riding instructor Willem takes time to get to know you how you work etc and what will work best for you , very individual plan and was there every step for me even when not in lessons reassuring me over the phone, He went above and beyond. if your looking for a CBT or riding lessons trust me look no further as Willem is by far the best you'll get , plus I've ended up with 2 genuine friends from this whole experience and for that I can only say thank you both with all my heart. I would like to say a huge thank you to Willem for quickly rearranging my direct access course. Having completed my CBT at the beginning of May and then having an accident in my garden and unable to complete the rest of my course. No problem to Willem, he managed to get it all rearranged and sorted when I was fit and well to complete my course. Willem is fantastic instructors. I came to them with no prior experience with riding a motorcycle and managed to pass both my mod 1 and mod 2 tests on the first go. I opted to go for an intensive course and I managed to learn to ride a motorcycle in 2 months. What I have learnt from the instructors extends beyond just riding a motorcycle and is something I will keep with me for the rest of my life. YOU WILL NOT REGRET CHOOSING WILLEM FOR YOUR INSTRUCTOR!
I cannot speak highly enough of the training willem has given me. Willem is great and patient teacher who is always positive and gives you confidence. Willem is a great character and easy to get on with and most importantly he is passionate about motorbikes. So if you want to learn how to ride a motorbike correctly and most importantly safely then use willem for your training.
Willem has been a great instructor. As a 16 year old novis rider I was quite nervous, but Willem made me feel relaxed from day 1 and helped me build my confidence up to complete my CBT. I met Willem today and he should keep what it is like to ride a motorcycle. His teaching is amazing, I would not ask for a better coach. After going to do my CBT at another place and didn't really get along very well, Willem took me and should me the proper way of riding. We had a laugh and he certainly knows his stuff about motorcycles. Thank you very very much Willem for all to have done today and I will be coming back to you very soon to covert to a geared bike. 10/10 experience.

Willem got me through my A2 licence, mod 1 and mod 2. He made my experience of gaining my licence enjoyable. He taught how to not just pass the test but to ride actually ride at the same time. He takes extra time to explain the extra details to make you a better rider.

Willem, was a great instructor, made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The one-to-one sessions were very constructive, addressing and working on my weak points and building my confidence. Even though my test was postponed 2 times (due to COVID lockdown) Willem made the necessary arrangements to rebook my test and squeeze in extra refresher lessons. After passing my CBT with Willem last September I got back in touch with Willem to progress to my big bike test. After 2 big sessions (one of which was extremely wet) I passed.

Found Willem when doing an internet search for obtaining my bike licence. So glad I did, he advised and guided me through the process making it very simple. Completed my CBT, MOD 1 and MOD 2 with Willem guiding me all the way. The tuition was both friendly and enjoyable making me feel at ease all the way. I would recommend Willem 100% for getting yourself on two wheels.
Passed thanks to Willem. I went for the direct access route after riding a 125 for a year. After reviewing my riding in the first lesson the plan they put together for me was perfect. The advice and tips given were always right on the mark and this really helped me become a better rider. Friendly, responsive and supportive.

Absolutely first class training. Willem doesn't teach you to pass a test. He teaches you to ride. He teaches you to be safe and above all enjoy the thrill of motorcycling. His stellar reputation for excellence is very well deserved and his enthusiasm is infectious.

I cannot recommend Willem enough. His love of motorbikes and the general art in riding really shines through. I have learnt so much. He has unbelievable patience which he has needed with me. I cannot recommend this one to one style of learning enough. It’s provided me with a sound knowledge, for a car driver for the last 20 years I did not believe I could learn more and I certainly have. Willem Louw is the best Motorcycle instructor by a country mile, very patient, extremely knowledgeable and he knows how to have a good laugh. If you can ride, he will tell you, iron out a few bad habits and turn you into an advanced rider in no time. If you can't or have never been on a bike, he will teach you in a very unique way. We had a lot of set backs (ice, snow, cancellations etc) but this never stopped Willem. He doesn't do stress, he doesn't get angry or wound up. He's constantly calm and collected. Passed first time with this school. Very easy to deal with and a relaxed approach to it all. Chrissy the instructor is fun and enthusiastic about riding. It made the entire experience enjoyable I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone
Awesome tuition. Willem is the right amount of lovely and professional and helped me pass direct access first time. These are the guys to go to to learn properly and I can’t wait to do some advanced riding with them.
I would highly recommend Willem to anyone thinking about learning to ride a motorcycle, either CBT or full license. I did a direct access course including CBT and Willem not only tailored the training to my exact needs, but also made it great fun as well. He teaches you to not only pass the test but to ride the bike safely and with confidence.

1st class instructor. Patient, calm, flexible with times, great bikes. Direct Access done and all passed 1st time under his training within around a month from relative novice; does exactly what its says on the tin.
Passed my MOD1 and MOD2 first time with Willem, lessons felt more like going out for a ride then being under instruction. Having been riding for 1 year on a 125 Willem coached me through the tests. Thoroughly enjoyed the lessons and would recommend.

Do yourself a favour learn to ride with Willem. Training by someone clearly passionate about what they do and seems to focus on turning out riders who know how to ride rather just passing a test. You will be well prepared for your test and more importantly prepared for when you have passed.
I started from scratch 3 months ago. I had purchased a 1969 classic Honda CB 350 and I was itching to take her out for a spin. Willem is the best motorcycle instructor in Yorkshire. Without a doubt. He will mould you into a rider with confidence, ability and his training will keep you safe out there on Yorkshire's roads. Can't thank him enough.

I recently did my CBT with Willem, not only did I complete my CBT very smoothly with Chrissy’s expertise and guidance. I also had an absolutely wonderful day with Willem, made me feel extremely comfortable and the day as a whole was a genuinely fun enjoyable experience and my completed CBT was a happy byproduct.
Truly enjoyable and I would highly recommend using this training school and I will definitely be returning to complete my full license in the near future.
Wow! I've completed my CBT and all thanks to Motorcycle guru patience, clear direction and confidence in what I can do. I would not have done it without Him and most certainly wouldn't have enjoyed the whole process as much as I have. Here's to getting on and being able to ride the big boy bikes!! I went the direct access route and passed first time on both mod1 and Mod2.

This is the second time I have gone to Willem for my CBT, the first time was spot on around 3 years ago and after it ran out I wanted to do it again and I did it again it was a smoothly run day and I really enjoyed it, I would definitely recommend
Update: I have now passed my A2 test, I can’t fault Willem with the help and support that they have provided me with, they make sure that you’re test ready and comfortable and I will be going to them again for a 3rd time to do my full bike test in a couple of years.

Amazing instructor with lots of patience
My last motorbike was in 1980 and after breaking my leg in an accident I gave up on motorcycles until at the age of 58.
I decided to do my full motorbike license!
So I booked in with a training school and almost gave up, this was in part due to my anxiety and how the way the instructor made me feel. His attitude was lacking compassion and care.
I had bought a Triumph 500 Trophy in anticipation of passing my test and ticking an item off my bucket list but I nearly decided to sell my bike and give up.
Luckily I spoke to a friend and he recommended A1 motorcycle at the time they couldn’t help but Bros made a call to Willem Louw on my behalf, thankfully Petrol Ponies took me on.
Willem and Chrissy were brilliant and patience. The way in which they took me back to basics and help my anxiety and keeping me confident in my ability was a breath of fresh air.
In October of 2021 after almost a year of disappointment I passed my mod 1, one week later I passed my Mod 2 (first attempt)
I am forever great full to the lads at A1 and Andy especially for bringing me together with Willem and Chrissy.
Both Willem and Chrissy are fantastic training me and nurturing me to a great level of competence
Today the 6th of November one day after passing my full test at Rotherham DVSA
